About Udaan, Lootera, Motwane and Michael Haneke
I just saw Udaan. Good story, good acting and good direction so Udaan is a good movie. But while watching the movie I felt Michael Haniki (director of Amour) but with background music.
Since few days, second movie of Bikramaditya Motwane, the director of Udaan - "Lootera" is very much popular among critics and those who got chance to see the movie in premier.
But if the same artistic feel is repeated in lootera as in udaan, one can't say it will be a success in box office too. Most part of mass do not have a taste bud grown for Udaan type of movies. So we can just hope Lootera is not just a beautiful craft of art, but if more of art and more of Haneke feel is there... we can only pray for Lootera's box office success!
But mass never create and lead any revolutionary process, Motwanes do; so I appreciate him. It is him and people like him who take a risk to go beyond the existing phenomenon and boundaries, change also is brought by some Motwane and Hanekes. So success should not always be measured in terms of how much money the movie collected in box office.
Note: its an instant reaction to Udaan just after seeing it. More of this can come or it can even be edited.
