The Irishman - REVIEW

You know what they say in cinema? "Show. Don't tell." Irony isn't it!? They ARE cinema and they are 'saying'! the Irishman is all and everything 'telling'. It's actually a 'showing' but.. ok let me put an analogy; The Irishman is that humongous surface of sea but we wanted to see beneath the surface too. Sadly The Irishman doesn't take us diving. It's actually might be better story than The Godfather (as some people praising it) but never once we get to see the actual 'godfathery' and 'casinoe' thing happening. I'm sorry if i seem interested in seeing violence and blood and action etc things in cinema but The Irishman needed the elements. I'm not asking for the bollywoody masala thingis like dance and song sequences and some fight sequences but.. it needed the elements. I'm sorry but i like Casino 1000 times more than The Irishman. Also, I've watched Casino couple of times but don't think I'll revisit The Irishman.. ever again. I was not bored while watching it but  to be totally honest.. it's true what Anupama chopra overheard on the plane to Amritsar - 

Q: How’s #TheIrishman? 

A: It’s slow and it’s longer than this flight!

Also too much talk and talk and talk but almost no walk. It is like my grandfather telling me story that he lived. It actually is bcoz Scorsese is seventy seven years old. It's exactly a grandfather telling us a story in such a way that we are so in aww while listening him. Sooo that's what it is, it's a fucking audio story! And when such stories are in talk how can we not include 'the man from earth'!? If a movie is driven only by dialogues and not a single action packed adrenalin rush things are present then we expect no less than 'the man from earth', not "Godfathery essence and Casinoed characters minus all the happening scenes" audio story. The greatness we are feeling for the irishman is just pseudo bcoz the feel comes from already and very strongly staged greatness by Godfather and Casino. Escense was by godfather and characters by Casino. 

But.. but but but but B U T  i just love Martin Scorsese because.. myaaan! How the hell is he pulling such stories off at the age of 77! Seventy fucking seven years.

But again, unless it was a lincoln type of historical or based on true events or documenting old stuffs like film, it seriously was not needed.
